A few of 'em seem to have over- or undershot the release point for their tuck or pike. Ouch! Funny when it happens to them. I did a face plant in front of hundreds at the local swimming hole years ago, trying to do an inward dive and didn't get my legs up. Face and ego were red.

When I was 15 and vacationing in Fla one summer (1971) the local kids took me to a bridge 60' high that they would jump off and into the canal below. Not sure if I'm brave enough to do it today. Anyhow this one girl jumped feet first and just before she hit the water she bent forward at the waste and did the most spectacular belly flop I have ever seen. After we fished her out somebody asked her why she leaned over like that. She said, "I wanted to see where I was going."

She ended up with a giant nasty bruise on her chest.  :O

Showed that to my daughter.

"Duh dad, that's why I'm on the swim team and not the dive team....."
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
