Acer Aspire One question

For those of you that own one, does the webcam work for video conferencing?  I was thinking about Skype or AIM Video.  I want to use it for simple video conferencing between my inlaws and our kids.  They have the Aspire and we have a regular laptop with Logitech webcam (works with Skype and AIM).

I played with the webcam for the first time.  Video quality is excellent. 

Then I downloaded AIM.  I haven't been on AIM since I last had AOL a decade ago.  I don't know anyone else on it any more, and I'm not starting a video chat with a complete stranger.  Do you have AIM and a webcam on your current computer?  If so, we can set up a time this evening to test it out.  My new screen name there is DdaySMVM.
