Gym Balls?
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:50:51 AM »
No, not a reference to any high school syndrome. I'm getting some physical therapy for my back, and the therapist wants me to do gymnastic ball exercises as part of a core strength/flexibility regimen. (What I thought was a sissy marketing gimmick is actually darn hard work).

Therefore, I need a gym ball, in the 65cm range, and possibly a smaller 20cm unit for knee-spaced crunches. A cursory search has revealed Chinese and Italian manufactures, but I'm wondering if anyone here has a suggestion for a quality product that can handle my current 300lb load.

Thanks,

I don't own one or use one, but I do know there are versions out there that can handle a lot more than 300lbs. Anti-burst I think.
I do not like, when with me play, and I think that you also

When I was looking for one to replace my office chair, I found that Target and Wal-Mart had a large selection.  I would imagine that a sporting goods store would have even more.

Call a physical rehab place and ask where they get theirs......

I was afraid this was going to be about something like athlete's foot.

Academy has a variety of exercise balls:  http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/fitness/landing

don't be to worried.  Unless you go for the cheapest thing you can find those balls are incredibly robust.

They are also wonderful things and we have them at work, I normally spend about half my day at work playing with my ball.
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.
