Old Muppet Show gag
« on: April 17, 2009, 09:33:10 PM »
Anyone remember the gag with the "monster" that would yell,"Make up" and slap a guest or character with a gigantic powder puff thing and white powder flew everywhere whilst completely coating the victim's head in said powder?

Where to find a clip of this gag? My google fu is weak tonight.

Closest I could find: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhbF5u9yMkU

FWIW, I think it started with Milton Berle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OjTBJpmhQM

THat is an OLD Vaudville or Burlesque gag. Might be even older than that.

If my dusty old memory serves correctly, I believe it was Milton Berle and either Lucille Ball or Imogene Coca. Come to think of it, it may have been Martha Raye. Man I love this gettin' old stuff.
