Default Armed Continental pilot gets neighbor's wrath / paranoia
Saw a local news clip last night that had some firearms/2A tones to it. San Marcos Calif, some “neighbors”/soccer moms tried to file R/O against ex-marine pilot, now Continental Air pilot, essentially because he "owned" a handgun. The handgun, is the one which he is now allowed to carry in the cockpit at his job, post 911. Could only find a video link for the story ~4 minutes, sorry no hard copy on-line, but not a bad watch.

http://www.10news.com/video/19302557/index.html

New couple to the neighborhood has 4 year old w autism. Kid gets picked on by the others and his dad probably had a reasonable talk with their parents. Neighbors make issue that dad “has a gun” and he or the boy will use it (against them). 3 families file for R/O against the austism family attempting to confine them to their house and driveway
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

Given the circumstances of the parents of "autism boy" and how I feel about my kids I do not find it much of a stretch to consider that I could have some interaction with the law if some of the neighborhood kids were trying to make life for mine a little bit of hell.

An RO against the kids who pick on the poor kid would be a good place to start. Fight fire with fire.

Argh. Too early, I guess.
Who's who in this thread? Marine, auristic kid, suers, picked-on, etc?

I assume the Marine is the one with the gun. It's a Marine, after all. =D

Hopefully, a judge like you is presiding in that area.  :)

The pilot with autistic child won handily. And the judge ordered the other three families pay thier legal costs.

There must be other longer-running bad blood going on for this to have happened, but it's all supposition/hearsay so it's getting left out of the story.
I promise not to duck.

Judge threw out the RO's, and ordered the scumbag neighbors to cover the 12k in legal fees.  Ahhhh sometimes, there's justice.  Makes me smile.

And I whine about a crazy old guy putting a stuffed shark in his window.  Unbelievable, trailer park tactics in a decent California neighborhood.

I kept waiting for the neighbors to accuse the pilot of being a "child molester", the ultimate white trash insult.  Apparently white trash blows across all SESs and neighborhoods.
I do not smoke pot, wear Wookie suits, live in my mom's basement, collect unemployment checks or eat Cheetoes, therefore I am not a Ron Paul voter.

Some people are cold bastards. The judge should restrict those 3 family to their houses and driveways only.

The boldfaced part is the best "feel good" post I've read on these forums since the Heller decision.  =D  =D

What a bunch of wusses.  They'd crap their pants if they encountered some of my neighbors.  :D

One of my least favorite days on this job is when i get the duty of ex parte protection order day.  Anyone who files the paperwork is entitled to a hearing, and you have to listen to the garbage they shovel.  Not to say they are all garbage, but you can generally tell from the paperwork if it's worth the time and effort for a hearing.

Good to see they awarded attorney fees.  Real justice indeed.
