"That said, I don't have the violent hatred for Vista that everyone seems to have."

I'd heard all of the horror stories, and I'd been prepared to hate it with a passion simply because it's a Bill Gates product, and well, he's evil incarnate...

But when I set up Mom's new computer over Easter I was forced to work with Vista for the first time...

And the more I worked with it, the more I liked it.

Because if you don't, I'll send Abby and her knee of doom your way.

Chris

She won't do anything else you tell her to do (at least not without a LOT of whining) so why should I be worried?

Balog,

Perhaps Dvorak was a bad example, then.  Still.
Seek out wisdom in books, rare manuscripts, and cryptic poems if you will, but seek it also in simple stones and fragile herbs and in the cries of wild birds. Listen to the song of the wind and the roar of water if you would discover magic, for it is here that the old secrets are still preserved.

No objection to your point. I just think it's a funny comic.

Eh, that whole Qwerty vs. Dvorak keyboard thing is bogus.

The TRUE burning issue is who's hotter, Kalie or Inara?

Ummmm... If you have to ask your credibility regarding hotness must - in all seriousness - be placed in serious question.

For those unlucky few who've never had the benefit of seeing Firefly the answer is without question - Kalie!

You're pretty certain for a guy who can't spell her name...

Kaylee

Although I agree she is wicked hot.

Your nerd credibility is also revoked. Her name is KAYLEE.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Oh please. I answered the question for myself a long time ago, but it seems to be the substance of countless arguments on the tardnet. Sort of the converse of the "Which captain is better -- Kirk or Picard?"

And spelling?

You're worried about how she SPELLS her name when the discussion is one of hotness?

Are you guys gay or something?

Hell, I think that actually is pretty obvious... YES! You're GAY!

She can spell it however she wants. We're talking about how you (mis)spell it. Also, my wife will be crushed to hear I've been outed.

Oh, and you're "revoking" my "nerd" credentials as if they're something to be held as some sort of badge of honor.
