Recommend a CCW class near Kansas City
« on: July 24, 2009, 10:03:02 AM »
I'm looking for a Kansas recognized CCW course as required by law for a Kansas CCW permit.

Anyone know of somewhere good to go?  I'm not opposed to driving to Wichita or Topeka.

I'd like to keep cost down, but still get good info.  If I'm going to burn 8 hours in a course - I might as well learn something!  =)

Thanks!

You might try The Bullet Hole in Overland Park. 913-432-0050.
I know they had KS/MO courses earlier this year. Don't know about cost.

Another one you might call is Dutch's Firearms in Raymore. 816-318-guns.

Is John Ross near you?  http://john-ross.net/ccw.php  Not only did he write a great book, he has (by reputation) a great training class and you can shoot full-auto at his private range - for free!

stay safe.

Dutch's class is alot of fun too.  He's a true firearms enthusiast.
Book a class asap, since I think he's about a month or more out.

That was easy. =D
Not to hijack but checking for Dutch's phone number I saw they have a Ladies Only class coming up.
Told the wife when she got home and she seems all for it.

yeah I noticed that too, and it's even on SWMBO's b-day
She said she would rather have Ruth Chris on that day instead of her CCW class, anothertime perhaps.

Enjoy your dinner.
I spent my time doing service on the Plaza and Downtown.
Hauling torches, refrigerant and tools up some of those buildings took a toll on my body.
I did the Plaza Lights twice. That was more then enough for me.
I don't like people. (Hope that doesn't offend anyone. But just give me something to fix and leave me alone.)
