I've got a Colt LW Commander XSE.
Teflon finish on it doesn't hold up at all. Holster wear in a kydex paddle from Fobus has worn a spot on top of the slide, around the trigger guard and under the dust cover.
My eyes tell me to go with RoGuard... I like the glossy black finish it produces better than the matte grey of the NP3 finish. Saw a Delta Elite done in RoGuard a few months ago and WOW was it a stunning piece.
Whatever I get though, I want it to last a long time even when carried practically every day.
Do both of these finishes work well with an aluminum frame? Anyone have holster wear pictures of either finish over long periods of time of actual carry?
I want a daily carry piece that looks like a BBQ gun and holds up to grip sweat, body sweat, holster wear and vibration, the occasional bump against a door or piece of furniture... you know: the perfect finish.
