Greatest 100 metre race ever run
« on: August 16, 2009, 04:07:11 PM »
Usain Bolt - 9.58 (World record)
Tyson Gay - 9.71 (National record)
Asafa Powell - 9.84
Daniel Bailey - 9.93
Richard Thompson - 9.93
Dwain Chambers - 10.0

Astonishing. I used to think Michael Johnson was the greatest freak to ever take to the track and dominate, the tall lanky Jamaican could be top dog for the next 8 years with 200 metre dominance likely as well. We may even see him run 400 metres.
I do not like, when with me play, and I think that you also

It would be tough, but I could probably do 100 meters/yards in 10 minutes or less.

I’m not saying I invented the turtleneck. But I was the first person to realize its potential as a tactical garment. The tactical turtleneck! The… tactleneck!

He is just too damned good.
When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt, run in little circles, wave your arms and shout!

Wow!  Fast.  That would have been a cool race to see.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Heck, I can drive faster than that.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
