I'm not unaware of the glue that holds us together, but we would be foolish to assume that our cohesiveness is limitless given the concerted effort that has been applied to rending us asunder for the last four decades at least. There are cracks in the foundation.
I am saying nothing but that we are in dire straits and should not take anything for granted at this point--and this is something that a lot of us on this forum already know. Not, alas, everyone. There is nothing complex, much less opaque, about this message. I have been asked what's needed, specifically, and I have responded: a massive, grass-roots civil rights movement equal in scope and intensity to what went down in the '60s, pro-liberty and anti-statist in nature. The town hall meetings appear to be the first stirrings of this. This is what I advocate; what I predict is another matter altogether.
