Online ads: "Obama...."
« on: October 14, 2009, 09:33:13 AM »
Is anyone else seeing hundreds of online ads for all sorts of different products and services with headlines such as, "Obama wants you to refinance your home" or "Obama wants you educated"? I'm running into them everywhere, and they're driving me nuts.

I was wondering who the hell would respond to such ads. The only conclusion I can draw is the simple-minded who voted for him.

Damn, when is this guy going to fall from grace? I'll be in a rubber room if it doesn't happen soon.

I have a hunch it's similar to the "As seen on TV!" idiocy that still shows up in my spam from time to time. Some marketers are bottom feeders: that's all.

Yep, they are prominent on my Yahoo (ymail) account.  Yahoo has been turning my stomach for some time now with all the liberal/leftist apologetic "news" on the ymail homepage.

Charter also has those ads and their "news" has been leaning further and further left as well.

Can't say that I've seen a single one. AdBlock Plus FTW.

Obama wants single moms to go back to school, don't you know... ;/

Yep, I see 'em on hotmail.

The first one I saw actually had me hunting for pet pork projects like federal education subsidies for single mothers.  Didn't find any.

When I saw the very first "Obama quarter set" that turned out to be nothing more than quarters with stickers on them... (as if the painted ones aren't worthless/cheezey enough...) I have to admit that I had a very, very, very strong impulse to figure out a way to use the Annointed One to prey upon the worst of the very dolts who voted for him and enrich myself.

Something like re-selling free .gov info in a "convenient format" to the inner city to go pester the fed.gov apply for their Obama-money...

I really wish I had her e-mail address. I could probably offer to help her get pointed in the right direction for Obama mortgage assistance and fed.gov subsidized gas for her car. With appropriate paperwork fees of course. Payable up front via Western-Union money order.

I really have lots of gun stuff I want to buy.

Here's an EZ way to do that.  Advertise for folks to come and pick up an application for free money from Obama.  Charge $5.00 for the application.

Leave town and live on your boat in Key West bight.

Grampster, you're bad. :)

Actually, there's probably hundreds of scams you could run using Obama's name, and I'm sure they'd succeed. We're talking about socialist programs and a socialist president.

Guaranteed ripoff, $5! (include $4.95 postage and handling)

Buyer receives an inch or so of cash register tape that absolutely was ripped off the roll...

No, I evidently do not venture into the "right" web neighborhoods, but I have noted a large number of late night AM radio ads touting "President Obama's" this, that, or other program to be taken advantage of when buying the advertizer's product.  Can't say I'm stimulated by the ads, though.

The one with the dog in the car is funny. I'm sure almost all of them are fake.
