Rodrigo the Spanish composer?
Si, unless the years have confused the brain. I DO know it was referred to by the original owner as "Bon bon" which is/was a Spanish colloquialism for "sweet" and I'm PRETTY sure it was Rodrigo's but if it wasn't it was some equally famous guitarist's guitar and definitely worth $100,000.

They also told us a story about how they went to some museum to appraise Segovia's guitar after he died. They were told NOT TO PLAY IT!! Well, they did anyways, so while the person was playing it, a string broke. They said they felt like it was Segovia's way of admonishing them from the beyond.

Went looking for Rodrigo and any reference to bon bon but found nothing on that subject. I DID find this, it's a "lesson" and it's long but check out the RH technique the girl demonstrates for the first few minutes.

I guess the link would be helpful...  ;/

It gets pretty dicey when moving wood between countries or even states.

That just can't ever sound right.....  ;)

Didja get to hear him play?  He's one of my favorite composers.

Edit:  Oh, Rodrigo and Gabriala.  Not the same Rodrigo.  I mean Joaquin Rodrigo, of Concerto d'Aranjuez fame.

illegally logged wood.

The potential double meaning(non-sexual) reminds me of the punch line from a Calvin & Hobbes strip:
"How many boards would the Mongols hoard, if the Mongol hordes got bored?"
