It's nice conciet, but lacks the rythm of either a good cavalry canter or the cadence of hobnailed boots marching.  The music does nothing to excite me.

Die Panzerlied is still used by the Bundeswehr (or at least it was in early 90's) when I learned it at Heuberg Kaserne in Stetten-am-kalten-markt.

Can someone that likes this song please explain to me what you like about?  I posted it on a military board I'm on and the response has been 100% "this is the worst thing I've ever heard in my life."  Which is, incidentally, my own opinion of the song.  I wouldn't take the free copy they are giving away to military members if you paid me.

I like how it finds 18 different ways to say "I am the baddest mother in the valley. I will enjoy killing you, and then you will be ushered into the arms of Satan."  Yes it's corny (especially the chorus) and it's ridiculously macho.  I like it anyway.

It's really not that good, either musically or lyrically. As a song to kick ass to it is easily beaten by just about any Rammstein tune.
