... Spend some of your money on freaking illustrations with the instructions for installing the Hi Viz sights and rear sight blade on your MkII/III pistols.

I bought the Hi Viz sights for my Mk II 22/45.  Front sight went in easily enough.  Rear sight was a pain.  I got the blade out, but misinterpreted the wording on the instructions for getting the new blade in.  Fortunately after wasting about 20 minutes failing I dug around online and found this:

Better instructions.  With illustrations.  2 minutes later the new sight blade was installed. 

The only other problem I had was needing 3 hands.  And I don't have a vise, padded or otherwise.  But a couple of minutes looking around the house, two cases of soda and some rope later and I had an improvised redneck soft vise that did the job just fine:   =D

I don't believe Hi Viz are a Ruger product...

I ordered them from Ruger's web site.  And the packaging had a nice big Ruger logo on it.  And they are now selling new Mk III pistols with those sights already installed.

I don't drink much beer.  And what I do drink wouldn't come in that sort of packaging.   :P

Add a few bucks for gas, I suppose.

Having a cheap homemade vise to work on your several-hundred-dollar revolver: PRICELESS.  =D

Still looking at under $20.  Not too shabby.

That's what I get for glancing at the photo, thinking I'm seeing a cylinder, and calling it a revolver without REALLY looking.  Where's my 'embarrassed' smilie, again? =)

Mea culpa.

A relatively smooth-sided semiauto WOULD work better in a setup like that, wouldn't it?  Man...
