Ok.  So someone please explain why there are thousands of gun laws, but not a single one controlling Auto-Tune?

Ya know, the more I hear the auto tune effect, the more I recognize it in songs. Although I have heard a couple songs where they intentionally use it to create a particular sound that is impossible to get otherwise, and it sounds really cool.

Ya know, the more I hear the auto tune effect, the more I recognize it in songs. Although I have heard a couple songs where they intentionally use it to create a particular sound that is impossible to get otherwise, and it sounds really cool.

Cher's "Believe" in 1998 was the first big hit that employed it in a way to make it noticeable intentionally.  After that it got more popular and more and more pronounced.  Now you have "artists" who don't even sing anymore.

Someone used to modern "music" might not even notice it in her song.
