Not to be a downer, but I can't help but think 100 years ago, someone with that kind of mind may have spent time tinkering with metals and lathes in a workshop and might have become the next JMB. It's a shame that the law has virtually killed the ability of talented individuals to come up with revolutionary firearms designs. I don't think America will ever see another John Moses Browning, Samuel Colt, or Eugene Stoner. Their kind of inventing is essentially illegal.
