Quote
The police investigated allegations made by a Portland masseuse that the environmental activist, who recently announced he was splitting from his wife Tipper Gore, had tried to take advantage of her sexually. According to a report by the Associated Press, Gore -- the idol of tree huggers across the world, "groped her, kissed her and made unwanted sexual advances at the end of a late-night massage session in October 2006."

During the session, Gore allegedly had forced her hand onto his genitals after requesting that she rub him "lower down" during an abdominal massage. His behavior at the end of the session, when she was getting ready to leave, was like that of a "sex crazed poodle,"  :O in her words.

It's a shame.  If he were a Conservative this would end his political life.  But as a Liberal, its not even going to be a bump in the road.

Given how long she waited before coming forward, and that she declined to pursue criminal charges because she wanted to pursue a civil suit, I view her account with some skepticism.  I see also that she never followed through on the civil suit, either.

Can we say shady lady?

Why would she ONLY wants a civil trial? That's the biggest indicator that somethings not right, if someone sexually assaulted you why wouldn't you want criminal charges?

Having seen what Al's buds did to Moncia Lewinski, Linda Tripp, etc. (aka "The Politics of Personal Destruction), I don't blame her for not wanting to pursue it.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

She is squared off against the world's carbon credit mogul.  I'd imagine that there is more to the story than meets the eye...  [tinfoil]

^^^ I would think that a 'happy ending' would be fairly carbon-neutral.

The 2000 election, or at least Gore's subsequent behavior, ended his political career.  The weight gain and facial hair; the raging Howard Dean impressions, all that sort of thing.
