Rangel loses the White House

Obama calls on Rangel to end his career with "dignity".  Nothing llike having the rug of support pulled out from under your feet right before an election!

Wow, a democrat calling for the resignation of another democrat over ethics issues.  Maybe the 2012 people were right.

Not quite end times, maybe just the freezing over of hell?
Actually, though, the white house needs Rengal gone before the election.  He's a black eye on the Democrats at the worst time.

If he doesn't will he wind up with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and the murder suicide weapon found 100 yards away?

Rather transparent plan by the Democrat Party to rid themselves of candidates that would be troubled by past votes like Stimulus, Health Care, etc.,  so that a new candidate can run that wouldn't have these issues to be attacked with. If Rangel hadn't been up for election this year these ethics violations would never have seen the light of day. And I don't think for an instant that Rangel isn't getting comped for this in some way.

Heh, heh, I heard the bus toss by Obama on the news this morning!

Looks like Chuckie better move over to make room for Maxine Waters, who is coming down the ethics trial pike!

He's a WHAT eye?

You racist.

(Also, thanks for actually using the correct word. LOSE, not LOOSE.)

Related: I heard Maxine Waters is under investigation now, too. Way to drain that swamp, Pelosi!

Once this blows over he'll still be there as a consultant or something else. He'll have to teach his replacement how the grafts work.

I've always thought that Rangel came across as a pimp or gangster. With the gravelly voice, slicked-back hair and loud clothes he doesn't look like your average member of congress. He makes former congressman James Trafficant look mainstream.

Not to go bustin' on you, Parker, but: 1) Reps are up for reelection every cycle and 2)  Rangel could get reelected tomorrow in his district.

Unless he is found to be DQ'd from holding office, for either parliamentary or Constitutional reasons, he's a shoo-in.  Never underestimate these snakes, especially those in "safe" districts.

The Dems will only distance themselves as much in public as they think it is necessary to maintain the charade they care about his behavior.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Exactly. It's not because The One making the suggestion is making it out of a deep seated respect for ethics to begin with. He's just trying to protect the flanks.
