They're scared. They're confused. They're angry and lashing out.

If November turns out as I hope, it will be fun to watch. We need to be careful of the lame and angry duck, though.

As usual...Eugene is for socialism, but the only one thing in there that I agreed with was this.
" reforming an unsustainable system of entitlements" Now if he's talking about Medicare/aid, and not welfare, he's barking up the wrong tree (which he usually does), but if he's actually talking about welfare, then I'm all for that.

Americans are spoiled brats and rich people need to pay more in taxes so we can maintain and improve our infrastructure.  Summed it up in case anybody doesn't care to read the article by Robinson.

Interesting that another supporter of paternalistic government thinks that those opposing the government are acting like spoiled children. If you think of citizens as children, then it follows that when they disagree with you, they're throwing a tantrum.

What I wonder is when do the "parents" think it's time to "spank" the "children," and how?

We can always count on the left to overreach.

We can always count on the left to alienate the average Joe with their moralistic condescension.

Too bad we can't count on the "conservatives" and/or Republicans to do the right thing when they are in office. For all of Newts manifold faults at least he led and accomplished changing the momentum into the right direction.

We gave Bush and the legislative branch an opportunity to prove the worth of conservative principles and all we got was "Democrat lite" on the domestic front.
