Needs IFF software, too.

The links that kgb provides to YouTube indicate that the latest software from their project does do that. Although I don't know that it can differentiate people. I think the best it can do is animals vs. people. Or maybe large animals (unwanted cats) vs. small animals (songbirds) etc.

Although I think if the system just has a scoring metric overall for the targeted object in the pixel deltas, perhaps a simple retroreflective patch that lights up brightly in IR would suffice, anything with the bright spots does not get shot. (maybe sleeves and legs for a gait pattern etc.)

The thing that really sucks is that the ATF deems any motorized manipulation of a sear or trigger to be "Fully Automatic" per the NFA.  =(

A few of the cheap Romanian AK pistols with drum magazines would be a great force multiplier for the lone homesteader come SHTF.  >:D

Since you don't want to have three of these and three high-cap firearms that just happen to fit the mounts if the BATFE comes knockin'...which item does your neighbor want to have six of?

Need to hook this up to a paint ball gun.  Too bad I didn't have one of these when the raccoons ate all the grapes in my garden. =(

IIRC the tracking software just looks for movement in the static image. I suppose you could do an IFF with a specific color, ie armbands, that would make the computer disregard detected movement if it contains that color.

If the S really HTF that badly, BATFEIEIO would be the last of one's worries.
