Fistful,

Something about this thread has been bothering me.  It took a while for me to remember this, but I do believe you made a snarky comment about Dave Matthews in the thread about the Dixie Chicks and the Eagles.  Does this sound familiar?

Wait.  There are people out there who still like Dave Matthews?

And now you have the nerve to start a thread about how you like Moby?

I've heard some things from Moby that I liked, so when I found a one-dollar Moby CD at a flea market, I picked it up.

Before I accuse you of anything (poor taste, wasting a dollar, listening to Moby) I do want to make sure that it was you and not some other fistful that said these things.

You're very close to violating the first couple of Commandments of APS:

There is but One Fistful.

I am the Fistful your Scapegoat, who brought you to the land of APS, you shall have no other scapegoats before me.

You shall not make for yourself another scapegoat, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

You shall not heap scorn nor insult them; for I the Scapgoat am a jealous scapgoat, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and fourth generation of those who reject me.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Thank god I can separate art from politics, otherwise I'd never watch or listen to anything.

Same here. But with this CD, I don't have to choose. It's just worthless all around. I want my dollar back.

Yes and no. Yes, I dog Dave Matthews at every opportunity, and no, this thread has more to do with my not liking Moby. The album I bought was "Everything is Wrong," which should be called "Everything About This Album Is Wrong." However, Moby has produced some good tracks, such as Extreme Ways.  Dave Matthews also recorded some music which was totally awesome - for a few months in 1997. I assumed we had all gotten tired of him since then. I find that most pop music doesn't stand the test of time.

I'm not shy about what I like.  I even listen to Darius Rucker singing country.
