Dem. Representative in Oregon asked to step down, after questions about his mental health, and tiger costume pictures.

We need more furries in Congress, might make C-Span watchable. Furry flying monkey costume + Pelosi = HAWT!

As I've posted on a number of forums, that's not a furry. That's someone screwing around trying to make something of a family photo. He might be nuts, sure, but he's as much of a furry as Fistful is a valued member of APS. :D

I think that whether he is a furry or not is beside the point. What one person's interest (or attempt to entertain his children) is shouldn't matter a whit. Just how much of a stretch would it be to alter that story to read something along the lines of "After demonstrating an unusual interest in guns, the Congressman's mental stability is being questioned, and other members of Congress are calling for his resignation."

Maybe more folks need to be questioned for mental stability. I say we start with Sheila Jackson Lee.

Like cockroaches, congresscritters are too tough to be destroyed by glory holes, drunk driving accidents, freezers full of cash, child prostitution rings, or even furry allegations proof.

Overruled. He's wearing an animal costume, so we get to call him a furry.  :P

So, what do you all think? The Republicans are not really hoping to unseat him, just to weaken him for re-election?

In politics, any time you do something even remotely shifty, or strange, people will try to have a go at you for it. It's not even so much that anybody actually gives a crap about these antics so much as it's a sports game.

Frankly, as long the good Congressman is not insane in the medical sense, he should stay. If anybody doesn't like it, they should elect a new one.

...oh god the next election campaign in this guy's district is going to be gold.

I think the guy should stay. His defense is simple. Point to Barney Frank, "You let him stay!"

This man is also famous for his awesome (though IMO incorrect) Klingons in the White House speech.

Someone took Rise of the Vulcans realllllly seriously.  "Faux Klingons" did he really say that?

I'm waiting for one of these politicians to NOT apologize and to go on the offensive.

Because a person like that would likely never get elected.
