Sign up for direct TV get a free gun. I guess only in Montana, sounds like corporate does not want to go country wide with the deal.

I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

Dealer store, independently owned franchise.  They can do what they want with incentives on contracted products like DirecTV sales.  Neither Radio Shack corp nor DirecTV have anything to do with it.

It's Dish Network, not DirecTV.

Seems like every time somebody does this (frequently with cars) they get national attention and sales increase.  Duh, winning!

Meh same difference, the signal goes out on both when a bird craps on the dish or any other minor imperfection.

Not exactly.  I've had DirecTV for almost 15 years.  The times I've lost signal probably numbers in the single digits, usually attributable to very heavy rainfall. Outages rarely last more than a couple of minutes.

In Utah our dish faced into the direction we got most of our snow from.  It went out for hours every time we got a snow storm, or until I dragged my carcass out there with a broom.

They make dishes with thermostatically controlled deicing elements in them for that very purpose.

I've also heard some people spray their dish with Pam or another lubricant to keep the snow from sticking.
