Flash Mob Robberies

Kind of an ugly twist on flash mobs. This is the first I've heard of this phenomenon:

would be funny for the police to set up a sting, say in a place where it would be easy to contain a large crowd.

a flash mob robbery is gonna go bad soon I'd say, some one is gonna open fire.

How does new technology make this easier? Wouldn't a wrist-watch do the job?

those kids got them new fangled phones that tell time! they don't need no wrist watch.

I wonder how the flash robs are organized, I do not twitter & have not figured how to use it. I have a twitter account & occasionally get an email asking me to allow someone to follow me but I do not know how. I'm gonna have to hang out with some teens to figure all that stuff out.

Yeah, I remember an old John Wayne movie which involved throwing a hornets nest into a train car, I wonder if that's considered bio warfare.

Notice there's a pattern?  They all happen in places where law-abiding citizens can't carry.

When they start spilling out of those places, I want this option on my carry gun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlAsSyDAWR8

. . . a flash mob robbery is gonna go bad soon I'd say, some one is gonna open fire.
Uh . . . wouldn't that be the robbery going good?

Don't some jurisdictions have laws in place that define "riot" as concerted illegal action by three or more people at the same time, which releases some constraints on both victims and police when it comes to dealing with the rioters?  ???

I wouldn't mourn for long if there were trampling casualties among the flash robbers.

It seems to me that if the store owner was able to catch just one of them, the police could use their cell phone and social media contacts to roll up the rest of them pretty quickly.

You mean like just about every stop&rob?  And IIRC the NYC robbery squad hid out in the beer coolers but I guess they could ove to behind the counter and pop up all sudden-like.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.
