What's going to be your fireworks load out this year?

I think kiddo is ready for some roman candles and sparklers.

With all of the rain we've had this week, you'd have a hard time starting gasoline on fire.

I still have a bag of roman candles, M60's, firecrackers, and some things I can't identify from last July 4th, when it rained. I hope I'll get to use them.

Best fireworks I ever had was about $300 worth of stuff I bought by mail in 1986. It was for the "coming out" party for my Jaguar.

Some of the tubes were about 3" to 5" in diameter. It was definitely good stuff.

The cops sat at the end of the block and watched the show. When it was done, they walked up with their flashlights, looked at everything and said, "don't do that."

County has a burn ban.  City has a fireworks ban.  Glow sticks and flashlights for the win.

Sadly, we have a ban on fireworks and I have work early tuesday morning.  No fireworks for me.  My wife might let the girls stay up and watch the city's fireworks from the house

NY has a ban, although locally they are usually tollerated on the 4th, if it is not very dry.  we have to drive 50 miles if you want some though.

I stopped at a few firecracker stands in MO last month.  They don't sell anything worth a decient bang anymore.  I still have a large sack of those big silver firecrackers with the fuse stuck in the middle, like a M80.  I forget what they were called but they were one step down from a cherry bomb..............chris3

Those were the M80's, and they made a lot of noise. The best we can get are M60's, and they're not much louder than a firecracker. That, or my hearing is just gone (which it is).

Just outside city limits, county allows all but Roma candles, I've made quite a bit. Fun will be had by many, for sure. :)

"Silver Salute Bomb", but they are not M80 - M80 are quite small, red in color, containing 2-3g of KClO4/Al mix and a 3-4 sec delay fuse. Smaller than the last two joints of my ring finger. :)
