Replacement software for Network Magic
« on: September 12, 2011, 03:28:02 PM »
I have a new PC running Windows7 and a D-link wireless router.  On my old PC, running WinXP, the Network Magic software was an excellent tool for controlling my wifi network.  I really liked the ease of use.  On this new PC, Win7 and Net Magic refuse to work together.  I presume that it is a problem with Net Magic, not Windows.

I have installed/reinstalled numerous times yet I can't get Network Magic to work.  Cisco's support site is no help, so I am trying to find a suitable replacement for network managemet software.

All I want to do is easily control who has access to my wifi network.

Any ideas for replacement software?

What does network magic do?
I use net limiter, it controls all traffic in and out of your computer. Not sure if it runs on 7 though.
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

Essentially, it is a user friendly interface to control the router. I can adjust all settings on the router, allow or disallow devices to join my network, change the password, etc.

I haven't found anything as easy to use.
