I'm guessing this is one store clerk who will NOT be fired for using a weapon to stop a robbery. Glad it ended well for her and her children.

Pity it takes a family-owned business to guarantee the employee is not fired.

We all know the arguments on both sides so there is no need to beat the dead equine over this.  Instead let's all just breathe a sigh of relief that momma and kid are OK.
