"Work with me, kid" takes on a whole new meaning.

Video on YouTube is, of course, both expected and mandatory.

5-6 hours on a paper route starting at 2 am  ending 420 papers later.  its about 5 bucks an hour for a 10 year old  plus we do breakfast at waffle house. anytime she opts out her data plan goes away

As long as flinging papers does not interfere with attending school, I'm thinking this will be a good thing.  Jusat do not send her up te driveway to collect - that's unfair use of a kid.  And her momma might not like her learning all those new words.

stay safe.

yea  sat or sunday morning won't be bad.  its funny it actually takes longer with her helping but surprise surprise i don't mind. lots of time to talk and for me to listen.  almost impossible for a kid to get a job at that age

At the age of 10 I'd probably try and refrain from jerking her sleep schedule around like that on the weekends.  Then again, you're her dad, you've obviously done it already, so you know better than I.  And, upon second thought if it's just once a month that's more like an adventure than a major interruption to sleep.

almost impossible for a kid to get a job at that age

Pity we can't put them to work on farms.  With people we know would treat them OK and such.  It'd probably be a better lesson for her to work the fields during the summer months, save up pay, and then dole that back out to you for her data plan.  There's money management and a work ethic all in one.

I say go for it.  Teach your kids what you do.

the sleep schedule is a very good point  momma has veto power if she thinks its messing her up.  can't be worse than the sleepovers
