Shooting Glasses Redux
« on: December 15, 2011, 04:10:49 PM »
Awhile back I ordered some S&W shooting glasses and was sorely disappointed in them to the point I deliberately broke them.

I wandered into Sportsman's Warehouse that afternoon and got a pair of "Howard Leight" safety glasses with amber lens.

Well, a month or 6 weeks goes by and sure enough I scratch these up.

So, I go to safetyglassesusa.com via a google-search and wind up ordering some safety glasses... these ones are made by Uvex.

Turns out, they're identical now that I have the new ones in hand.

And, I can buy replacement lenses for them for $3.50 instead of a full set of glasses for $9.

This pleases me.  I'm going to order lenses by the dozen so that I always have a fresh, clean, unscratched pair of shooting glasses.  I seem to always bop my glasses with the rear sight of my AR, and then that scratch is exactly where I want my sight picture to be.
