Pensacola Mustang Show!

SWMBO & I are going to the Gulf Coast National Mustang Show in Pensacola this weekend (her gig!) @ P'cola Interstate Fairgrounds. 350+ Mustangs of all descriptions. Rolling south thru Chatanooga & Birmingham. Any suggestions for things to see or "Diners, Dives & Drive-ins"??? Stumbled onto a great little Italian place in B'ham a couple yrs ago, & Cootey Brown's in Johnson City.

Got introduced to Shrimp & Grits in Charleston, SC thanks to an APSer. Ate @ S.N.O.B

I knew about the mustangs on Assateague Island and the ones on BLM ranges out west, but never knew they had a herd in Pensacola.  Live long enough and you'll learn something new!

In my mind Pensacola = Naval Aviation.

I spent a little over half of 1981 (the good half) at Pensacola for A school.
The Blue Angels regularly practiced in the area, at least as good a show as paying to see an air show.
Big Air force aircraft museum just up the road is worth a look.

Whew, just cars. I was hoping for airplanes, but I must admit Pensacola + Mustang had me thinking we might be seeing some kinda pageant of middle aged paunchy former enlisted officers. Do not want.
