About 2 or 3 blocks from my house
« on: April 17, 2012, 12:53:56 AM »
http://postbulletin.com/news/stories/display.php?id=1493238

Man apparently murdered in a local park last night.  Victim *kinda* looks like a tweeker, otoh I might look like *expletive deleted*it too if I'd just been killed.  (straight line for some comedian to tell me I look like *expletive deleted*it anyway so what's the big deal )

I haven't decided whether to tell my wife about it or not.  Probably not.  But I might tell my dogs  ;)

"Tweeker" -- I had to look it up.  Now I have a new word in my vocabulary that I hope I have no use for. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tweaker

Head to the nearest 24 hours auto parts store at 0200 and you'll see them.

Are there a lot of these? (24 hour auto parts store, not tweekers.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I have long said, a 24 hour hardware store would get far, far more of my money then I'm comfortable admitting.

(And not because I'm a tweaker  :P  Mad engineering knows no time limits.)

Mostly because household *expletive deleted*it breaks (or is broken) 10 minutes after the hardware store closes.....

Not a good business model, then.

If the hardware store was open 24 hours, then nothing would ever break and they couldn't stay in business.

Unless they're testing some sort of "mad hypothesis" they're really just mad engineers.

Do they sell plutonium ?

I'm getting really tired of dealing with the Libyans.

A few of the Bigger Home depot stores in NJ were open 24hr a day years ago. I guess it did not work.
I don't know if HD works a night shift but sometimes I wonder if its worth closing at night.
There is a Shop rite near me (big food store) That I think is only closed for about 6 hours. There are people in there all night. Would it not be cost effective to keep one cashier there at night and keep it open?

Still don't know it would be as weird as a wallmart at 3 am. The freekies come out at that hour.
