OK, I know everyone's opinion in the UN.  Heck, I know that dislike of the UN goes way beyond conservatives, libretatians and libreals, to almost the point where just about everyone I know except for on-the-line commies hate them.

What's your opinion on NATO, other than the fact that we are stuck with an underpowered round to conform to standards :p

All I really know is that they were formed to counter the Warsaw pact, but have no information on their political doings, or even really what power they have.
I still say 'Give Detroit to Canada'

If the EU has its way I think NATO is history.

We need a new organization.  A true coalition of free,  democratic capitalist nations.

NATO is strictly a military alliance for mutual defense, and as far as I know it sticks to that mission pretty closely.  For that reason, you don't hear alot of complaints about it, and if nothing else the Eastern European members like it since it keeps the Russians out of their flower beds.

And as anybody who saw how things unfolded in Bosnia knows, NATO's peacekeeping mission was orders of magnitude more competent, sensible and just plain ballsy than the UN's piss-poor attempt at it.

It may cease to be necessary or politically expedient, but NATO did its job.

NATO does the job it is supposed to do.  It doesn't typically muck into politics.  Much more low key than the UN.
"Rev, your picture is in my King James Bible, where Paul talks about "inventors of evil."  Yes, I know you'll take that as a compliment."  - Fistful, possibly highest compliment I've ever received.
