It's real.  THR was all wound up over it a couple months ago. They considered it blasphemy of the highest sort. I think it's the gun industries version of a concept car.  No one really expects to sell it, they just made it because they could.  Of course, in this country it's NFA (Machine gun) but I think Arsenal's in Eastern Europe somewhere.

So all the 1911ers got their panties in a wad?

(Oooo, a new smilie thingie. It seems wee bit surreal that the gun one is shooting at the rofl one. I guess it represents us the APS member laughing in the face of flying lead. ;) )

Actually the video credits say that it is made in Italy.

It's real, I've seen it before -- an answer to a question no one asked.

And just because the smilie IS NEW:

And just because it IS NEW:

Were I a multi-millionaire, I would commission the production of a four-barreled version. (Where to put the other two mags? Meh.. waves hand... Minor details) simply to be able to make a YouTube video mocking the first one from Arsenal.  =D

Huh. I thought I was a 1911 guy. I must not be, cuz I wants one. Actually, two would be more appropriate.

It looks cool.  Probably fun to shoot, until one side malfunctions and the other doesn't.  All sorts of possibilities for hilarity there.

Meh.

Actually, I question the achey wrists part.

Since it probably has to weigh almost 2x that of a standard 1911.. it would seem the net recoil ought to be roughly the same?

Man that guy looks intense.

I remember seeing something about this a while ago.

If it ever gets into substantial production, I predict slide cracks at the ports unless they have superbly quality controlled steel and superbly quality controlled heat treatment thereof.

IIRC, the bald mustachioed man may also be the same man seen in a video shooting twin Glock 18's (or sear conversion backplates) fixed together by frame mounted scope rails and held horizontally with a reflex sight on top. I think he's a European gun-writer. (talk about scarce work, if you can find it... I keed. There actually is a fair amount of gun ownership left in parts of the EU...)

(Not sure if they milled out an ejection port and flipped the ejector/extractor or there are left-handed Glocks, or what they did to get the pistol on the right of the rig to eject the other way...)

Not so fast.

They have applied for a permit to import it to the U.S. There are two versions. The one in the video has the hammers and triggers locked together, so one pull fires two shots. By BATFE definition (NFA) that makes it a "machine gun," even though it clearly is not. But they also have a version with separate hammers and separate triggers, which satisfies the NFA rule of one trigger pull ==> one projectile.

The one in the video is a 9mm. I'm sure a single stack (and barrel) 1911 in .460 Rowland has a LOT more recoil.

hangfire nightmare.  as if there aren't enough moving parts in one gun.  (okay, i want!!!)

he said 8 double rounds = 4000gr down range.  that's 250 gr each, definatly not 9mm.  he did compare it to 30 rounds of 9 mm.
