Irony Defined
« on: June 13, 2012, 02:34:37 PM »
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-republicans-you-can-pretty-much-put-their-campaign-tweet_647146.html

Obama claims Republicans are so deviod of ideas that you could "pretty much" put their campaign on a tweet and have letters to spare.

He's quite right, I mean, "Hope and Change" is really a vapid campaign for the Republicans to run... wait, wasn't it someone else using that as their entire campaign?
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

So, let's try.  140 characters. IIRC.

"Hope and Change!"
"Yes we can!"
"Forward!"

Hmm .... at this rate I'm predicting the next slogan will be:
"Vote!"
followed by:
"(D)"

You forgot "Early and often!"

Yes, a very very old Democrat strategy.  Accuse Repubs of it before Repubs lay it on you.

"Not Obama" is a pretty good campaign strategy at this point.

"Better than Reagan" would be much better.....

I am going to vote on "Hope and Change".  We can only hope that there is a change.

I find presidential politics really frustrating with all the half truths and some outright lies.  Obama can't run on his record or the truths about his record, but he can simply run against what the Republicans want to do.  The voters gave Obama a chance.  He failed.  There is very little hope right now.  In fact, in my lifetime, there is more pessimism about the economy and the future than I have ever observed overall.  If that is not a recipe for change, I don't know what would be.
It shall be as it was in the past... Not with dreams, but with strength and with courage... Shall a nation be molded to last. (The Plainsman, 1936)

Obama, who opposes requiring ID for voting because it's racist, requires ID to get into his speech.

I guess Obama hates black people.
