Mr.Tuttle,
great link , thanks!
Hats and I do not seem to get along very well - nor for very long. Never cared for baseball style, these do not keep rain and sun of my neck.
I "had" 3 straw hats, basically Cowboy style, the Feed & Seed &Tractor Store specials.
I usually sit on them, or they get sat on. They come off out at the range, where I managed to step on them, someone else does, or the dogs decided to run off with them.
Though I have run my straights - folks , especially kids want to shoot my hat. Usually a special challenge or accompishment they do - and if so my hat is shot.
Granted there are some parents, adults, ladies I assist in shooting that want to shoot my hat with me still in it...
I have this "reporte' " with students you might say.
My last straw hat was shaped on the Interstate . Seems it flew out of the truck bed, then a 18 wheeler "fashioned" it..."Peterbuilt style".
Tip:
If the kids insist on putting onto your head the new hat they bought you, and they are being really quiet, supressing snickers, giggles, grin - not being normal...
The Adults are playing dumb and pretending to not be looking...
There is shaving cream inside the hat.
Paybacks are fun...shaving cream will "fluff up" old seat cushions on outdoor chairs.
Not me - I'm a good boy.
*wink*
