Google fiber hits the Kansas City market today.

$70/month for 1 gigabit.  Both down, and up.

Sweet baby jesus, I will sign up for this as soon as it is avaliable in my section of KC.  The conversation with time warner when I cancel with them will be music to my ears, after they jacked my rate up and wouldn't change it.  :mad:

Wow.

We just got some faster internet into our office today, and I was happy with the 80Mbps I was seeing for $100 per month.  Synchronous gigabit at that price is absolutely amazing.

Wow.  I've preregistered.  $120/month for gigabit and TV is a bit less than what I pay now for less speed.

I read that, and thought, damn, the Metamucil folks will be pissed, is there a market Google won't try it's hand in?

Then I came inside and was relieved. And jealous.

The opportunity to get google's fiber service was one of the few things that made me sad about leaving KC.  Although it would have taken years before Raymore ever saw the service.  So Nick once your up and running with it.  Lets talk "seedbox"  :)
