"Chalking"
« on: August 07, 2012, 03:58:50 PM »
Man gets arrested for writing words on the sidewalk with chalk, protesting banking fraud. I found this interesting, maybe because of the apparent absurdity of the response,  maybe because his message and actions, and the reaction to his actions, expose a lot of truth that no one seems able to acknowledge. His "vandalism" took about 5 seconds to wash away with a water hose...

I'm just surprised he didn't get charged with copyright infringement for making use of the bank's logo   =D

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Yes it is.  Even if it does wash off easily.

Why is the cop listed as John Doe in that case?  Why isn't the District listed?

Names were changed to protect the innocent defenders of freedom.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Guess that makes this chalk artwork illegal:
