I've lived in Virginia my whole life and never heard those. Also, it's not ratgut, it's rotgut. As in rotten guts.

As in Rot your Gut.  Bad Liquor term originated during Prohibition.

I had to learn to discontinue the use of agita. Got a very odd look the first time I said that here in SC.
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.

Slugs! I've heard some stories about that.  Weird rules, creepy people, morons.  Roll the dice when you hitch.

I have heard that, without the "l".  "Wapitui".  It comes from what the sound you make when you expel the foul brew from your mouth.   "Waaaa..pteui" .  Heard long ago with reference to a frat drinking party (is there any other kind).
