  • WTF?
Sometimes it is really hard to figure out if a story in The Onion is just humor or if it really, really is true.  Just seeing theonion dot com is often not enough of a clue, and you have dig deep to find out if they are spoofing us.  Below is an example of this.

Quote
WASHINGTON—More than a week after President Barack Obama's cold-blooded killing of a local couple, members of the American news media admitted Tuesday that they were still trying to find the best angle for covering the gruesome crime.

"I know there's a story in there somewhere," said Newsweek editor Jon Meacham, referring to Obama's home invasion and execution-style slaying of Jeff and Sue Finowicz on Apr. 8. "Right now though, it's probably best to just sit back and wait for more information to come in. After all, the only thing we know for sure is that our president senselessly murdered two unsuspecting Americans without emotion or hesitation."

....While Obama has expressed no remorse for the grisly murders—point-blank shootings with an unregistered .38-caliber revolver— ....

Obama wants to outlaw all semi-automatic weapons in the hands of civillians.  But, as we all know only too well, rules apply to the "little people" but not to the elite.  Who is more elite than The Lightgiver?

Now, if it was said he offed them with shots of 10mm out of a .40 Glock with the Gen 2 NY Trigger I might have believed them unquestioningly because that's the issue weapon for more than 75% of all alphabet-agency SWATs.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

Yeah, but a ragged out 38special with a grip wrapped in electrical tape seems more his style.

There was a running joke a while back that if someone produced video of Obama engaged in ritual human sacrifice, devil worship, and cannibalism, the media would be inclined to excuse it as "a private matter, unrelated to his job service as President" and spike the story.

When even The Onion lampoons the media's slobbering love affair with BHO, it must be getting pretty blatant; they're not even pretending to be fair or objective any more.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Added Meacham, "It's not so cut and dried."
...
While Obama has expressed no remorse for the grisly murders—point-blank shootings with an unregistered .38-caliber revolver—many journalists said it would be irresponsible for the press to sensationalize the story.

"There's been some debate around the office about whether we should report on this at all," Washington Post senior reporter Bill Tracy said while on assignment at a local dog show. "It's enough of a tragedy without the press jumping in and pointing fingers or, worse, exploiting the violence. Plus, we need to be sensitive to the victims' families at this time. Their loved ones were brutally, brutally murdered, after all."

I wonder what the thoughtful, nuanced take will be?

  • I spent a week in that town one night....
Moved to the RT.

While I agree that the MSM is 'covering' for the President.  This is more a sarcastic article the political.

And when the Onion calls you out, it goes to show that there's a problem. (there has to be a element of truth for something to be funny.)

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
