Secure car gun storage

Looking at this. Apparently bolts right in to the present console using the existing console bolts.

Anyone have one or something similar?

I probably need one. The flaw to me is that most people think secure, this really is a deterrent to a 30 second thief. I'd look poorly upon myself if I could not be inside that thing in 5 minutes or less. "Massive 12ga cold rolled steel plate." Oh lol.

The big issue is not looking good to thieves. Where you park, no gun stickers, no electronics in plain view, etc. I've seen one for SUVs that was a false rear floor, about an 8" deep roll-out cabinet, not evident unless the rear door was open, pile all your normal trunk stuff on top.

*Note, the following is strongly discouraged for border crossings and the like, you go to the big house. How many thieves look in the spare tire storage(N/A for the Ford truck) or the air cleaner box?

I realize it's not a perfect solution. Might persuade them to go look for easier pickings if they do break in, though. With my luck, a bad guy would see it and think "There's GOT to be something nice in there!" and proceed to tear everything apart.

Just steal the pickup and you have all the time in the world to break into the lockbox  ;/

We have a lot of car break ins where I work.
All of them, other than the few cars that have been stolen outright, were quick smash and grabs.
People got whatever looked valuable that was sitting in plain sight stolen while more expensive items under the seat or in consoles were left behind. Its usually cell phones, purses, change, and GPSs that are stolen.
I've personally had my car broken into twice- about 20 years ago. Once, a radar detector was stolen, while a much more valuable stereo system was left untouched, another time, a tool box was stolen from my back seat.

^that right there should eliminate 99% of the trouble^
I use a cheap lock box with a cable that sits under the seat and feel its more than adequate enough.

Ideally, I'd want the Magpul AFG/FPG mounted like a sun-shade visor, hidden in plain sight.  =D
I promise not to duck.
