I need a little math help
« on: October 10, 2012, 08:47:33 PM »
And I mean a lot of help.

My daughter has decided I need to build her a trans-warp portal in the yard.  :O

I asked her why and she said it was so she could quickly travel to other worlds. Then she added that I needed to make her a space helmet just in case she winds up on the moon or something. She also thinks the Vue needs rocket boosters.

She just turned five three weeks ago. She already has me working on the old go cart, redoing her late great grandmothers .22, gathering parts for the '70 Mustang and has already claimed the FR8.

What am I going to do when she learns to really use her smarts against me?

She already has.

I often think men would turn out to be blood thirsty pillaging barbarians more often than not if it weren't for daughters.

I think in 15 years or so, she'll make a delightful addition to our elite group of APS Women.

I may have caught a brief break. I set her to building the tachyon field generator. I told her the portal is useless without it. She says it needs to be 54" but hasn't said if that is round, length, cubed or what.

I don't think she is very happy with papa right now. We spent a bunch of time building and working on things this summer when business was dead. Now that I've worked the last eleven days in a row she is feeling a little left out.

I really thought someone here could help with some of the math so we don't have to worry about a back blast taking out the house. I told her twenty feet from the house is a little close but she says it will work there.

I'm starting to wonder what kind of suit would be needed to withstand the stress of the portal. I'm sure she'll get it worked out.
