Earthquake in Ky
« on: November 11, 2012, 08:39:49 PM »
Wired...I didn't feel it, but heard it. I was laying on my bedroom floor yesterday while petting one of our cats. A framed photo on my dresser started vibrating a little, making a little ticking noise. It went on for 20-30 seconds. My first thought was that it was an earth tremor, but talked myself out of that. Lo and behold, I read today that it was a small quake, a long way from here. I'm in central Ohio. I'll trust my gut feeling next time.

I felt that quake.  It was odd and about 12:10 where I live, I felt a tremor and I think a slight sound...  It troubled me as to what it was.  On a whim I checked the USGS website and indeed there was an earthquake near Whitesburg KY of all places at 12:08.  I am a good ways from there and rather surprised that I would feel anything.  The USGS is re-assessing the effects of earth quakes in the Appalachians.  It appears that the tremors carry much further than some areas.

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

That large crack was, well, a large crack! It swallowed up Lois Lane.
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.
I meet lots of folks like this, claim to be anarchist but really they're just liberals with pierced genitals. - gunsmith
