The Stones are going to have four concerts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the group's founding. Two are in London, and two are in New Jersey on the 13th and 14th of December, just in time for my birthday.
I'd promised a friend I'd treat him to the next Stones concert before they retired, which I figured (and still do) will be next year.
I'd checked on ticket prices for the Jersey concerts, and decided against those. The cheapest seats are way up in the nosebleed section behind the stage, and cost $383 plus handling charges. Decent seats in the mezzanine level within binocular range (as opposed to spotting scope) are $750+. Center of the floor section in front of the Jagger's mini-stage are $5350 per ticket.
These are the scalper's prices. The tickets for those who were able to buy them when they went on sale were a couple hundred.
I think I'll wait to see if they do other concerts in the US next year, which I'm sure they will..
