Man who fired at no-knock raid not guilty on all counts

Apparently mumbling "Police warrant" as you ram the door down doesn't cut it anymore. Guy is lucky they didn't shoot him after he dropped his gun. in fact, I find it odd that they didn't return fire at all.

Anybody know what the no-knock raid was about?  It would be interesting to know if it was a wrong address, bad intel, or the guy was running a meth lab or something.

Defense attorney Tony Jimenez told jurors during closing arguments Tuesday that his client, whose home had twice before been broken into, had been awakened by his frantic girlfriend, Rebecca Flores, and was acting on adrenaline when he shot.

“He was protecting his house, he was protecting Ms. Flores and he was protecting Savannah,” he said, referencing the 3-year-old granddaughter of Flores who also was at the home the night of the October 2010 raid.

Though jurors never heard about the reasons for or results of the search warrant, police at the time reported finding methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and firearms in the home.

Still not sure what was on the warrant that supposedly justified the raid or if the claims of drugs & such were true.

Anyone know if he was charged for possession of meth? No way they tried to stick him on shooting at the cops and just ignored a stash of meth. Unless the warrant was bad and they couldn't introduce the drugs? I don't know, weird situation.

Well since they were shot at it should be safe to assume that he had at least one firearm.

Your experience with how incidents like this are charged differs from mine.
And don't be shocked if he gets nailed with dope charges
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
