I wonder if Piers bought it?
« on: February 26, 2013, 08:12:27 PM »
It's a hard video to stomach...except at about the 11:00 minute mark.  Piers was having a hard time suppressing a grin toward the end. In spite of himself, I think he found out why people enjoy shooting guns for fun.

He is a closet convert now. It's just that pissing off gun owners gets him the ratings he needs to pay off the MGs (yes plural) and truckloads of ammo he just bought.

Gun store guy is an idiot. Doesn't know that a 12-gauge shotgun will be far worse at shooting through a sheetrock wall than a 5.56 AR-15.

Yeah he made a couple of bone-headed comments about shotguns...but overall, he did a pretty good job. Not too many people maintain that level of calm talking to Piers -which only convinces him that he is right about gun "nuts".
I still think that getting someone out to shoot, and to have a lot of safe fun doing it, is the the best way to demonstrate why shooting is so popular. Nearly everyone shooting for the first time (especially a low recoil full auto), has that silly grin.

You have to fast forward through Alex Jones and his grating voice, but the the gun shop owner explains himself here. Apparently, but not surprisingly, CNN did some heavy editing. Found this as a related link at Lee's link:

But seriously... biting his lip to hide the smile on his face? He SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wanted to hate it but couldn't help himself. The heat from the barrel thawed his Grinch-heart just a little. Maybe he is human after all. Could it be that some antis are just an ammo belt away from becoming gun-tolerant?

Oh and he is way more gun-saavy than he lets out... he avoided "trying out" the pistol grip 12Ga

Still don't like him though, he can go rot in whatever socialist-statist hellhole he came from.

This post title is misleading.

I came here expecting to read about the possibility of a funeral, only to find the continuation of the same dreck about Piers Morgan being Piers Morgan.

And I don't think he could purchase anything if he wanted to - might be legal to buy in Texas but I doubt it's legal to own in NYC/DC/wherever he resides.  Then there's also his immigration status to be checked - is he Green Card or just extended visitor?

In closing - it was telling that as soon as he got "familiar" with the AR he styarted working the trigger just as fast as he could, as if he had a movie theater full of "clingers" in front of him.  No discipline, no seeing how the slightest change on his part makes a change on where the bullet hits the target - just blast away and mow them down.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

You add the smiley, but you are exactly right I think. I would have loved to see video of him firing that thing and still make a claim that the AR is so immensely more powerful. I almost wonder if the gun shop owner purposely chose the pistol grip shotgun in hopes of Morgan firing it, so they could film him losing muzzle control, which I've seen a few people do when firing that stock configuration.

Heh.  When I read the title to this thread, I thought maybe Morgan had left the mortal coil.
