I remember that.  Not well, of course.  I would have been in second grade at the time.

Thanks for sharing that.

While the loss of the Thresher predates me a little I am passing familiar with it.
My first boat was the same class as the Thresher. Originally 593/Thresher class renamed 594/Permit Class after the loss.
