Dad was in charge of creating foods to feed the troops. There was the frosted flakes & brewer's yeast fiasco, the first few iterations of texturized soy protien product (which still does not taste or feel like food in spite of what the veggieburger folks say), and a whole host of others that years of therapy has pushed into a sealed compartment where they shall remain forever. Then there were a few really stunningly excellent products such as tetrapack milk, irradiated milk and various meats (chicken never worked out well) that could be kept unrefrigerated for over 60 days, and some flash-frozen dehydrated meats. Most of the stuff was "meh!" after you got over the novelty of it - like "space ice cream". I will still kill for LRRP ration chili con carne.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LRP_rationThis print-a-pizza sounds even worse than anything Dad attempted to create. At least he started with real foods (OK, Tang is not real or natural, but gimme a break here, I'm trying to make a point.) while this looks like it begins and ends with a swill of stuff reduced to its elemental level. Soylent Red and Soylent Yellow, if you will.
Nope! Let Lipinus try it.
