Spider Causes Spokane Man To Crash Into Semi

Around 8:30 Saturday morning, Levi Van Dyke was driving crashed his Toyota Tacoma truck into the back of a semi truck.
"A spider was crawling up the back of my leg and when I actually saw it, I freaked out and started swatting at it...at just the wrong time," Van Dyke said.

Despite the severity of the crash as the pictures show, Van Dyke was somehow able to walk away with just a scratch on his head and shoulder. "I got some angels, Jesus loves me," he said with a smile.

I rode my motorcycle through a swarm of migrating bees about a year ago.

Literally thousands of 'em.

My jacket had hundreds of dead bees all over it, my helmet had bee-guts from at least 50 bees.  I had at least a dozen bees up the sleeves of my jacket, and four or five down the collar of my coat.  I still kept my cool and pulled over under 100% control, then pulled off all my riding gear to get rid of the stragglers.

Glad it wasn't a horde of flying spiders.

I got bit by a spider yesterday while I was rigging the sails on my boat. Cost the little bastid his life.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Samuel Adams
