I think you may be right about that.  I heard they pretty much kept him away from Joe Horn's house.  I think that was in Deer Park.

I watched about two thirds of that. I guess the upshot is that they were trying to march, or demonstrate, and the crowd just hassled them until they left? Or were they trying to speak the press, and got shouted down? Or both?

That's probably what they wanted, to try and re-create the atmosphere and optics of the 1960's civil right's marches etc. that had (white) townspeople yelling at them, jeering etc.

Avoiding the area, or pretending to ignore the action, and letting it just be the NBP guys surrounded by the press would have done more to kill the "march".

OK, so there was a bit of a disagreement between the views of the NBP and the crowd (who may or may not have been residents of the neighborhood).

But I swear by <$diety> that the next time I hear a crowd start chanting "USA!  USA!" and the US Olympic hockey team has not just beat the evil communists Roosians, or the US narrowly beat the Norks in putting a man on Mars I am going to start seriously considering taking up a 2x4 and expressing my distaste over such mindlessness.

The whole history of protesting is rife with chants that actually express the sentiment of the protest.  I wonder if there is any money to be made in holding classes in creative protest chanting?
