I don't care who you are, that right there is funny!

Can't they just have David Gregory take possession of the guns?

Is the Sheriff that told them to cease and desist one of the CO sheriffs that came out against the new laws? Sweet irony if so - the progressives told those sheriffs that they had to follow the law, and this one did.  =D

Does the State law apply to law enforcement transfers in a "buy back" situation?

They could have handed over their barter goodies to the Sheriff and let him run the "buy back" and bypassed the FFL requirement.

Apparently my hope for irony Re: the Sheriff was wrong. This article states that the Sheriff wanted to do the buy back. Which begs AZ's question as to why the Sheriff then just didn't take the guns directly.

He is not part of the sheriffs that are suing.

You seem to be assuming an exemption for law enforcement.

You seem to be assuming an exemption for law enforcement.

That's because there always seems to be one. If that's not the case in CO, it's a pleasant surprise.

If a firearm is transferred to a private citizen (the buy back folks) there has to be a background check.  They can't take it in and then give it to the police without the checks and the CO system is not portable (according to the sheriff).

Still wondering how you can "buy back" something you have never owned in the first place....

What is it with liberals and "awareness" gestures?  Everyone is "aware" of gun violence.  That is why citizens want to arm themselves.

When lefties bemoan the horrors of gun violence, it's raising awareness.

When the NRA advocates solutions to the problem of violence, it's fear-mongering.
